Hello Create,

Firstly - I wanted to wish you and your loved ones a Happy New Year,

I hope that you are as excited as I am to create fantastic opportunities for children in 2023.

I wanted to start the new year by thinking about our Vision and Values as a Trust.

During the Autumn term, I have been working closely with our Headteachers, Trust Directors and Trust Board members to define what we do as an organisation.

We considered:

  • our Vision: why we exist
  • our Mission: what we do
  • our Values: why we do what we do

and agreed the following:

Our Vision

At Create Partnership Trust, we aim to create the best possible education for disadvantaged children in Birmingham.

We chose to work in these areas even though we know that it is very challenging because we are driven by a moral purpose to help these children and communities. We value the inclusion and diversity of our communities and we have built up an enviable track record and strength in educating children from these backgrounds.

Our Mission

At Create Partnership Trust, we aim to 'create the best'. To create the best teachers; to create the best leaders; to create the best education and to create the best opportunities.

We aim to support our teachers, our leaders and our schools to achieve their goal of providing an exceptional education. We will develop the school improvement support; the network groups and the continuous professional development opportunities to develop our staff to better educate our children. Supporting and developing our staff should be at the heart of what we do.

Our Values

Our values are derived from our name: Create. Partnership. Trust.

We want to be a creative organisation, so we value Innovation.
We want to work in partnership, so we value Collaboration.
We know that our children and their families trust us to have the highest Aspiration.
We want to be a trusted organisation, so we value Integrity.

As we work in 2023 and beyond, I look forward to us living these values on a daily basis and developing structures and systems as a Trust that put these into practice to serve you - our staff.

Our new Trust Development Plan develops these ideas in more detail and as I am writing it, it is clear what an excellent start to the academic year we have made and how much progress has already been achieved. The team and I look forward to continuing this journey as we look ahead.

Best regards
Mark
